Data we collect
• Your email address, to sign in and to send notifications. • Your profile: first name or nickname, level, bio, photos, past hikes. • Your birth date: never shown, only your age is. • Your gender: never shown, only used for women-only and men-only outings. • Your outings, requests, travel plans, comments, blocks and reports. • Messages sent through the feedback form.
Why
To run the service (performance of a contract) and to protect the community: minimum age of 16, reports, blocks (legitimate interest). No ads, no selling of data, no ad trackers.
Who sees what
If you share an outing's route, its title, distance, ascent, start, links and GPX track appear in the ideas, without date, group or meeting point. Other members see your public profile (without birth date). An outing's meeting point and discussion are visible to accepted participants only. Reports stay anonymous. Routes you add to the library (GPX track, title, description) are visible to members, without your name. Your to-do list stays private.
Processors
Supabase (database and sign-in, servers in the EU), Vercel (app hosting), Resend or, during the test phase, Google Gmail (sending emails). They process data on our behalf only. Map and place search: your browser loads map tiles from OpenTopoMap and sends place searches to Photon (komoot); these services see your IP address. Weather comes from Open-Meteo, queried by our server without personal data.
Cookies
Only necessary cookies: sign-in session, language, light or dark appearance, confirmation message, whether you have seen the introduction. No analytics or advertising cookies, hence no consent banner. Audience measurement: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits anonymously and in aggregate, without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
Retention
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, outings, requests and messages are erased immediately. Feedback messages are kept without a link to your account.
Your rights
You can view and edit your data under “My account” and delete your account at any time. For a copy of all your data (portability) or any other request (access, objection, restriction), write to contact form: answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr).
